The organisers of the Zenith Bank/Delta State Principals’ Cup have announced that the final and third-place matches will take place on 6 November. The original date of 16 October was changed following a protest concerning one of the finalists, Otokutu Grammar School of Ughelli South, after allegations surfaced that the team fielded an ineligible player during their semifinal victory against Urhobo College, Uvwie.

Following an investigation, Otokutu has been sanctioned and will now compete in the third-place match against Justice Peace & Success Academy, Aniocha South. The final will feature Ogbe-Ijoh Grammar School from Warri South West against Urhobo College, Uvwie, and is scheduled to be held at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, Delta State.

According to the organisers, the Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, along with several members of his cabinet, will be in attendance for the final.
