Gombe State governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, yesterday in Abuja, paid a condolence visit to the family of the late elder statesman and renowned academic, Prof. Buba Garegy Bajoga, and commiserated with the bereaved family.
He participated in a special three-day prayer session held for the repose of the soul of the deceased.
The governor, who was received by family members and associates of the deceased, expressed sorrow over the demise of Bajoga, describing his death as a profound loss to Gombe State, the academic community and Nigeria at large.
Governor Yahaya had earlier, in an official statement, described the late Professor Bajoga as an academic of international repute and an illustrious son who devoted his life to scholarship, public service and national development.
