Governor Yusuf Presents N1.368trn Budget To Kano Assembly

Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf presented the 2026 budget proposal to the State House of Assembly on Wednesday, with a total size of N1.368 trillion. This is the first time in the state’s history that a proposed budget has exceeded N1 trillion.

Out of the total N1.368 trillion of the budget, N934.64 billion is earmarked for capital expenditure, while N433.49 billion is allocated for recurrent expenditure.

Speaking during the presentation, Governor Yusuf highlighted that the largest allocations in the 2026 budget are for education, which will receive N405.35 billion; health, with N212.25 billion and infrastructure, with N346.29 billion.
