The government has been urged to support the reality TV show ’40 and Fabulous’, a program aimed at empowering women and creating job opportunities.
Jolly Nnenna Abani, the show’s creator, made the call at a press briefing in Abuja on Tuesday.
She explained, “I believe that if the government thinks correctly, they will see the value in sponsoring programs like this. With over 400 million people, the government should be part of it.”
Abani emphasised the show’s impact on women’s empowerment, “This program empowers mothers, who are the ones raising the youth, the future of tomorrow. When women come together, you don’t have to worry about their children, husbands, or contributions to the economy.”
Executive producer, Kennedy Chukwuma Aja, highlighted the show’s unique approach to empowerment.
He said, “Our show is not just a reality TV show; it’s adult education, a rebate for moms, women, and sisters. We promise no nudity, and it’s a family-friendly show where you can learn and be entertained without compromising values.”
Aja also emphasised the show’s impact on employment.
“Each season of the show has a total crew of over 35 people working on set and behind the scenes. We employ at least 50 people per season. The employment aspect of the show goes beyond that because we teach people how to create wealth and businesses on their own,” he added.
The grand finale of ’40 and Fabulous’ is set to take place on May 4th at Transcorp Hilton Hotel, where the winner will receive 10 million naira and a brand new car.
The event promises to be an exciting conclusion to a season that has inspired and empowered many women.
“Don’t miss the grand finale of ’40 and Fabulous’ on May 4th at Transcorp Hilton Hotel. It’s going to be entertaining, educational, and a grand event that showcases the vision of ’40 and Fabulous’,” Aja said.
