Gratifying To Watch Delta Win Youth Games 7th Consecutive Times – Speaker

Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Hon Dennis Guwor has said it was gratifying to watch Delta State win the Youth Games for seven consecutive times.

The Speaker in a statement by his chief press secretary, Mr Nkem Nwaeke, said their dedication, perseverance, and teamwork have made Delta state proud.

Guwor stated that Delta topping the Medal count with 46 gold, 31 silver and 34 bronze, totaling 111 medals, again shows the state’s dominance in sports and sports development

He commended the resilience shown by Contingents from other states in the battle for medals, emphasizing that their sportsmanship and camaraderie would remain evergreen in nation building and growth.

“My heartfelt congratulations to our talented youths for emerging overall winners at the 8th National Youth Games! Your dedication, perseverance, and teamwork have made Delta state proud.

“This achievement is a testament to the investments made in Youth Development and Sports Infrastructure in our state. I urge you to continue to  strive for excellence, as this is just the beginning of greater accomplishments to come!”, Guwor said.

Continuing, the Speaker stated, “To the government and people of Delta state, let us celebrate this remarkable achievement! Our collective efforts have yielded outstanding results.

“This victory demonstrates our commitment to empowering our youths and promoting socio-economic development.

“As we bask in the glory of this triumph, let us continue to support our youths and foster an environment conducive to their growth and success”.

He said, “To our fellow Nigerian states who participated in the games, I extend my sincere appreciation for your sportsmanship and camaraderie. Your presence made the event a resounding success.

“May this experience inspire you to continue nurturing your young talents, and may we continue to unite through the spirit of friendly competition.”

The Speaker thanked the organizers of the sports event for the choice of Delta State for the 8th National Youth Games.

“To our esteemed visitors, thank you for choosing Delta State as your destination for the 8th National Youth Games. We hope you’ve enjoyed our hospitality and experienced the best of our state.

“As you depart, take with you memories of our warm welcome and the excitement of the games. We look forward to hosting you again soon”, Guwor said.
