Worried by the disagreement between Governor Uba Sani and his predecessor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, the National Chairman of Equity Alliance, Hon. Abdullahi Magaji Baba, has appealed to both parties to sheathe their swords in the state’s interest.

According to Baba, in an open letter addressed to Governor Sani and a copy made available to LEADERSHIP, he said, “With due respect, I wish to appeal to the Current governor of Kaduna State, Malam Uba Sani, to enter a truce with his Predecessor, Former Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir Ahmad El Rufai, for peace and development of the state.”

In the open letter, he said he met the Former Governor of Kaduna State, Malam El-Rufai, in 2003 when he had challenges, and with the help of God, he was assisted out of that problem.
He further recalled that he first met the current governor of Kaduna State, Malam Uba Sani, in 2011 in El-Rufai’s living room. He was introduced to him and has assisted him immensely ever since then.

“With due respect to your Excellency, it’s common knowledge among Nigerians that your predecessor influenced your appointment as Special Assistant SA to Former President Obasanjo. He later appointed you as his political Adviser, in which you were appointed a media committee member in APC Kaduna State. After that, you became Senator of Kaduna Central, and now you are our Governor.

“Both of you originated from Kwarbai Quarters in the ancient city of Zaria, where your parents live in peace like brothers and sisters.

“We wish to appeal to you to reconcile with your friend and make Kaduna great again,” he said.
