Nasarawa North G13, a socio- political group, has called on the people of the senatorial district to support the candidature of Hon David Emmanuel Ombugadu, for the Nassarawa North Bye- election slated for June 20,2026.

Ombugadu is the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the forthcoming election.

The Coordinator of the group, Comrade Jibrin Salleh, made the call during its meeting in Akwanga LGA of the state on Monday.

Salleh, who is also the Coordinator of the G13 in Wamba local government area said that the endorsement of Ombugadu was due to his track record and achievements when he served as a member of the House of Representatives representing Akwanga/ Nassarawa Eggon/ Wamba Federal constituency.

” Our decision to support Rt. Hon David Emmanuel Ombugadu for the Nasarawa North Bye- election is due to his track record when he served as a Honourable member, House of Representatives.

” He brought a lot of development to our senatorial district and the state at large.

” Our decision also to support Ombugadu is based on the fact that Rt.Hon David Emmanuel Ombugadu represents the youths and others as well as he has the interest of the people at his heart,” he said.

The group expressed optimism that Ombugadu would deliver, if given the mandate.

” We believe that Rt. Hon David Emmanuel Ombugadu has the capacity and will also build on the legacy of Late Senator Godiya Akwashiki,” he said.

Salleh urged those, who are engaging in campaign of blackmail against Ombugadu to desist in the interest of peace.

” We want to advise all those campaigning targeted at Hon David Emmanuel Ombugadu to desist and join hands with us to support Ombugadu to succeed in the election,” he added.

” How can some people think that it is wrong for Ombugadu, who is contesting for Governorship in 2027 and still contesting for Nasarawa North Bye- election.

” Please, we have seen nothing wrong with his ambition for Governorship and Senate Bye-election,” he added.

The group called on all and sundry to pray and support Ombugadu to win the bye-election.
