The Network of Civil Society Organisations in Nigeria (NCSON) has called for a peaceful resolution to the ongoing feud between the Senate president and Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan.
Comrade Victor Kalu, the national coordinator of the Network of Civil Society Organisation in Nigeria (NCSON), made the statement at a press conference yesterday in Abuja.
He emphasised the need for all Senate members to work together to address the country’s challenges.
Kalu expressed concern over the unnecessary squabbles and called for unity among all political parties. He highlighted the positive impact of the current Senate leadership and urged all Nigerians to support their efforts.
He said, “I urge all female members of the Senate to understand that changes in seating arrangements are not uncommon and should be accepted once an explanation is provided.
In view of that, I advise Senator Natasha to focus on legislative work rather than engaging in theatrics.
“NCSON passed a vote of confidence on the Senate president and called for both parties to resolve their differences in the interest of the Nigerian people.”
Kalu stressed the importance of working together for the benefit of the country.
