In a statement issued to newsmen yesterday in Abuja, the National Secretary of CCSO, Comrade Abdulfatai Mahmud, described the appointment as a well-deserved elevation that reflects Alhaji Atiku’s exceptional dedication, professionalism, and contributions to the legislative arm of government.

He reiterated that Alhaji Ibrahim Atiku is a highly accomplished professional and an alumnus of world-renowned institutions, including Harvard University, Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto, and Duke University in the USA.

Mahmud added that Alhaji Atiku’s academic achievements are further complemented by certifications from the Nigerian Institute of Management and the West African Institute for Financial and Economic Management (WAIFEM), among others.

These accolades, he noted, underscore Atiku’s commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

“Prior to his appointment, Alhaji Ibrahim Atiku served as the Director of Finance and Accounts at the House of Representatives. Over the years, he has held various pivotal roles within the Finance Department of the National Assembly, significantly contributing to its financial operations and administrative efficiency.

“His extensive experience and visionary leadership have consistently strengthened legislative processes and ensured the judicious management of public resources.”

The group commended the National Assembly Service Commission for its merit-driven approach in recognizing excellence and competence through this appointment.

Elevating a seasoned expert like Alhaji Ibrahim Atiku to such a strategic role, Mahmud noted, underscores the Commission’s dedication to enhancing the institutional strength of the National Assembly.

“Once again, we congratulate Alhaji Ibrahim Atiku on this prestigious recognition and wish him immense success in his new role.

“We are confident that his leadership will bring about greater professionalism, efficiency, and innovation within the legislative institution,” he said.
