A group, the Defender of Human Rights and Access to Justice Foundation, (DHRAJF) has condemned what it described as the wicked and illegal demolition of the auditorium of the Higherlife Generation Church, Owerri, the capital of lmo State.

The group was particularly astonished by the assault unleashed on the vision bearers of the Church, Pastor Emmanuel Samuel and his wife, Ngozi.

In a statement yesterday signed by the convener, Bright Eluagu, the group condemned the demolition which he described as ‘brazen act of human rascality’ which must be nipped in the bud.

He said, “We must emphasize that the right to life and dignity of a human person is  fundamental and must be protected by lovers of democracy.

“A situation where non-state actors take laws into their hands in the pursuit of a matter which is pending before a court of law is to say the least, very unfortunate and an invitation to anarchy, if not tamed.”
