A group, Katsina Concerned Citizens for Good Governance (KCCGG) has expressed concern over recent incidents of foreign interference in Nigeria’s internal affairs, which it said threatens the country’s sovereignty and stability.
In a press release signed by its chairman, Comrade Yakubu Muhammed, the group highlighted the arrest of foreign nationals involved in activities harmful to Nigeria and the disrespect shown by raising foreign flags while desecrating the Nigerian flag.
KCCGG called on the federal government to investigate and prosecute those involved, review and enhance security measures, monitor foreign nationals and their activities, and engage in enlightenment campaigns to promote respect for Nigeria’s sovereignty.
The group also urged the government to revisit its economic policies and provide relief to the masses, emphasizing that foreign interference poses a grave challenge to national security.
KCCGG stressed that securing Nigeria’s sovereignty requires strengthening national institutions, enhancing transparency, and fostering a united front against external pressures.
