President of Nigerians in Diaspora for Good Governance Organisation, Raymond Edoh, has declared that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) would not be silenced by any authority.

Edoh said any attempt to intimidate political parties, especially the Independent National Electoral Commission, amounted to an attack on democracy and the Nigerian people.

“Let it be known: the ADC cannot and will not be silenced—neither by the government nor by INEC,” he said at a press conference in Abuja.

He reaffirmed that David Mark remained the legitimate leader of the party, warning against what he described as institutional manipulation.

According to him, Nigerian youths were prepared to stage a nationwide peaceful protest if the electoral body failed to uphold justice and transparency.

Edoh also called on the INEC chairman to resign honourably, saying such a move was necessary to restore public trust and safeguard Nigeria’s democracy.

“This call is not made lightly, but out of a deep commitment to accountability and the urgent need to rebuild confidence in our electoral processes,” he said.

The diaspora leader urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to demonstrate leadership by protecting democratic principles and ensuring fairness.

“He must stand firmly for fairness, accountability, and the rule of law,” Edoh added.

He further appealed to the international community, including the United States Department of State and the United Nations, to support Nigeria in defending democratic values.

Edoh also called on the Legislature, Executive and Judiciary to uphold their constitutional responsibilities, stressing that the survival of democracy depended on their independence.

Addressing Nigerian youths, he urged unity and vigilance, describing them as “the guardians of democracy”.

“Your courage inspires hope, and your resolve sends a powerful message that democracy must endure,” he said.
