The North-West Democratic Agenda (N-WDA) has said that those attempting to sabotage President Bola Tinubu’s presidency are enemies of the country and don’t represent the North.

In a statement co-signed by Rt. Hon. Bala Idris and Adamu Adamu Abubakar, its national secretary and secretary general, respectively, the group said President Tinubu was still very much popular in the North-West and the entire region.

The statement further hailed the President for his superb start, adding that the majority of his policies and reforms have directly impacted the masses, especially in the North-West.

The group noted that the President has given the zone a sense of belonging in his administration by appointing their deserving sons and daughters into his cabinet.

According to the pro-democracy group, no other President from the south has carried the North-West along as much as Tinubu.

They went further to thank President Tinubu for the rapid infrastructural facelift being witnessed in the zone, noting that the upgrade of health facilities and construction of houses will go a long way to alleviate the suffering of citizens.

The group, therefore, passed a vote of confidence on the President and warned people detractors from the North to stop fighting and insulting him.

“We have followed the latest trend in the polity and decided to voice our opinion on issues that concern the President and the north,” the statement said.

“President Tinubu wasted little time to address issues he inherited from the last administration and he has done quite remarkably well.

“The indices are clear. We can see that the economy is picking up. For the first time, the Central Bank of Nigeria is dictating the rate of forex rather than external forces.

“There is also a paradigm shift in the fight against bandits, terrorists and other criminal elements. The era of kidnappings, farmers-herders clashes and others are now becoming a thing of the past.

“We have never had it this good before, never had a leader in his mould in our history. A nationalist with the zeal to get things right whose interest is the masses alone.

“Therefore, we find it disgraceful that some persons from the north are ungrateful for this progress. They claim that the President has failed after barely a year in office.

“Shameful. We want to put it on record that these individuals or groups don’t represent the interests of the entire region. They speak for themselves.

“For us in the North West, President Tinubu is very much on track and his policies and reforms have had significant impacts on our people. From the upgrade of health facilities to housing projects and many others.

“The President has given us a sense of belonging in his administration with his appointments. What more can we ask? Instead of gloating, we believe it is best to support the President to do more.

“On this note, therefore, we want to pass a vote of confidence on the President and assure him of the support of the North West. We also want to warn those whose stock in trade is to criticize the government to find another business because they have failed already,” they stated.
