A group operating under the aegis of  National Coalition of Polling Units Ambassadors (NACOPUAM) has faulted the endorsement of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar  recently by some northern elders.

Addressing journalists on the development, the convener of the group, Ajayi Taiwo said the decision of the elders is capable of dividing the country.

He described the endorsement as an unfortunate situation, querying how the elders can support the idea of a northerner handing over to another northerner in 2023.

Taiwo explained that what Nigeria needs now is equal opportunity for every region and a balance of the democratic arrangements of governance in the country, just as they expressed concern over the efforts to blackmail Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his state of health.

The convener of the group therefore advised all those who turn themselves to emergency medical doctors without having access to the medical history of Asiwaju Tinubu to leave his health issue to God.
