A group Atum Humanitarian Anti-Corruption & Charitable Initiative (AHACCI), has hailed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to rooting out corruption and promoting good governance in the country.
The group said the current administration is setting a new tone for transparency and accountability in Nigeria.

In a statement issued yesterday in Abuja by the director general of AHACCI, Amb. Ismaila Yusuf Atus, he commended the president for strengthening anti-corruption agencies through increased funding and guaranteed independence.

According to him, these moves have empowered anti-graft institutions in the country to carry out their mandate without political interference.

He said, “President Tinubu’s strategic policies and decisive actions against corruption are clearly restoring faith in our institutions. “

According to him, “This is not business as usual. What we’re witnessing is a deliberate effort to institutionalise integrity and restore dignity to public service.”

The AHACCI DG also commended President Tinubu for economic policies that help tackle the root causes of corruption, especially among civil servants and young people.

He said these initiatives promote dignity of labour, reduce economic desperation, and make it easier for Nigerians to meet their needs without cutting corners.

His words: “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has demonstrated uncommon courage and clarity in the fight against corruption. What sets this administration apart from previous ones is not just its commitment, but its execution. From ensuring the independence of key anti-corruption agencies to backing them with the resources they need to succeed, the President is laying the groundwork for a Nigeria that future generations can be proud of.”

“We must also commend the administration for attacking the roots of corruption which are poverty, inequality, and institutional weakness. Initiatives like the student loan scheme, the credit guarantee system, and the increase in minimum wage are not just economic tools; they are weapons against corruption. When citizens can meet their basic needs through legitimate means, the temptation to cut corners reduces drastically.

“This is a defining moment for Nigeria. The improvement in our global ranking is not just a statistic; it is a signal that we are on the right path.”

He further lauded efforts to fast-track the prosecution of corruption cases and implement reforms in the justice sector, noting that speed and fairness in legal processes are essential to restoring public trust.

“President Tinubu is showing that it is possible to combine economic reforms with ethical governance. This balanced approach is what Nigeria needs, and the results are beginning to speak for themselves,” he added.
