The president of the National Youth Travel Association, Kano State branch, and legal advisor, Nura Shehu Ido Dodon Voye has identified insecurity, unemployment and lack of education, among the things that the association is trying to end by raising awareness among young people. He said, the mission of the association includes things that are bothering them especially in the North, where they were left behind and prevented from achieving many goals. He spoke at the launch of the Abuja branch of the association.
Also the head of Abuja branch, Malam Ibrahim Muhammed Garki, in his speech said that the association has young people from every zone in Abuja to enlighten the world that they are ready for this journey of youth enlightenment and empowerment.
He called for cooperation saying the first thing they need is cooperation from the youth, adding if they get cooperation from the youths they would succeed in whatever they do. He said the second thing is to let them know that politics is not about profit and urged against use of alcohol and other vices, adding that it is one of the things that they want to see end among the youth.
He added that our leaders should know that the power now belongs to the youth, but these youths are being used to kidnap people to collect ransom money, saying the association wants to bring such vices to an end.
