A group, Coalition 4 Good Governance has commenced the mobilisation of funds for the actualisation of the re-election of Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe who currently represent Cross North senatorial district.

A PDP chieftain and convener of the group, Jimmy Aninege, disclosed this yesterday in Calabar, the state capital when he interacted with journalists on the need for the senatorial district to return Jarigbe to the senate next year.

He said with funds and support of the people, the return to senate by the law maker would be an easy ride back to the red-carpet house.

Also, the group’s secretary, Ben Loyal Abang said their support for the lawmaker was borne out of the track records which the law maker has set in the short time he had spent in the upper chamber of the national assembly.

He said “Agom has impacted so much on the lives of his constituent beyond expectation of majority of us who reside in the senatorial district, within his shot stay in the senate.

“Jarigbe’s projects are scattered across the five local government areas of Ogoja, Yala, Obanliku, Bekwarra and Obudu and also the 54 wards that make up the district”.

He said beyond influencing people-oriented projects across the senatorial districts, the first term senator and a former two terms member of House of Representatives, has empowered thousands in the district with scholarships, jobs amongst others.
