A group, Alex Otti 4 + 4 Movement 2027, has begun mobilising widespread grassroots and institutional support for the reelection of the Abia State governor, Alex Otti, in 2027.

Chairman of the movement, Chibueze Okah, stated this yesterday while speaking to newsmen in Umuahia, the state capital, saying Otti deserves unrestrained second term in office.

He said, “The movement is a comity to ensure continuity of good governance, economic transformation, and sustainable development of Abia State. We seek to consolidate on the progress under the present administration by mobilising the people in support of the policies and initiatives that drive reforms in governance.”

Okah said their objectives include promoting continuity and good governance, grassroots mobilisation voter education and awareness, and youth empowerment and inclusion.

‎‎Others are economic advocacy, strengthening political structures, promotion of peace and political stability, monitoring government performance, and election preparedness among others.

‎‎Speaking further, the chairman maintained that the movement is positioned not only as a mere campaign group, but as a people-driven development movement.
