A group, Guild of Civil Societies and Media Executives for Equity, Justice and Transparency in Nigeria (GOCMEJ) has passed a vote of confidence on the commandant-general of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi.

The Guild commended Audi for the amicable settlement of conflicts among herdsmen and farmers, cattle rustlers and villagers as well as community leaders.

The vote of confidence based on the resolution of over 75,000 cases under the leadership of Audi.

This was contained in a statement issued by the president/country representative, Omoba Kenneth Aigbegbele and the national secretary, Comrade James Okoronkwo, after a stakeholders’ meeting on “Development Index Evaluation Assessment Parameters and Performance Indicators in MDAs across the country.”

It lauded Audi’s leadership for its ability to implement the NSCDC’s mandate on the resolution of disputes through the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) among the warring parties.
