Group Unveils Tinubu/Shettima Medical Outreach In Kano

The Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Support Group has introduced free medical outreach in Kano to boost the wellness of the residents.

About 10,000 less privileged beneficiaries with various ailments are targeted to get their failing health condition restored during the week-long outreach holding at Murtala Muhammad Specialists Hospital, Kano.

The health mission being conducted by Development Support International (DSI) and local health partners with support from Jigi Jagaban free healthcare, a Tinubu/Shettima presidential campaign group, is addressing prevailing health matters include maternal and child mortality, malaria, hypertension, diabetics and eye problems.

The three-day mission which ended yesterday featured free eye retraction and surgery, blood pressure test, diabetics, mother care as well as free distribution of medications and glasses.

The medical lead, Development Support International (DSI), Dr Adebola Odewunsi, disclosed that the intervention was part of the commitment of the APC presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to bridge the barrier between wellness and social status.

Odewunsi explained that the strategic focus of the outreach was to bring healthcare services to the grassroots and free care to indigenous people who could hardly afford healthcare services in Kano.

He said in the last three days of the mission, about 5,000 women and men had the privilege of meeting consultants in various fields and free drugs to restore their failing health.

On the choice of Kano, Dr Odewunsi added, “Kano is a strategic and determinant outcome of everything in the country.
