Gunmen Abduct Clergyman, Daughter In Calabar

The presiding pastor of Word Alive Church at Anating Street in Calabar South local government area of Cross River State, Rev. Mike Obiora, has been abducted by gunmen, our correspondent gathered yesterday.

The clergyman and his daughter, Shalom, were kidnapped  alongside a landlord who just moved  into his new apartment  at Victory Way, Calabar Municipality on Thursday night.

Police spokesperson SP Irene Ugbo while confirming  the incident said they won’t relent until all those abducted are freed.

She said; “We are aware of the incident, our men swung into action immediately they got the information. We won’t relent until we find them. They combed the area thoroughly yesterday till this morning but we won’t stop until we  find them.”
