Unidentified gunmen in the early hours of yesterday abducted a middle-aged man at the home town of Sokoto State governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.
The director of Communications, Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Rev Father Christopher Omotosho, who broke the news in a statement disclosed that the victim is one of his parishioners in Tambuwal local government area of the state.
Omotosho lamented that when the abductors came to the victim’s house, he put calls across to the police but, the police refused to show up till he was whisked away by the abductors.
The Rev Father said, “You are to be informed that one of my parishioners, Mr Tony Udemezue, has just been kidnapped in his own house, the home town of the executive governor of Sokoto State.
