Omotosho lamented that when the abductors came to the victim’s house, he put calls across to the police but, the police refused to show up till he was whisked away by the abductors.

The Rev Father said, “You are to be informed that one of my parishioners, Mr Tony Udemezue, has just been kidnapped in his own house, the home town of the executive governor of Sokoto State.
“When the abductors came, the victim called police around 2: 00 am but there was no response till he was taken away.”
He faulted the action of Nigerian police saying that everybody now is living at the mercy of God since the security agents cannot protect anyone.
When contacted, the police public relations officer, Sokoto State Command, Deputy Superintendent of Police, DSP, Abubakar Sanusi, said he is in a meeting and promised to get back to our correspondent when, he is properly briefed.
However, DSP Abubakar Sanusi, is yet to get back to our correspondent. Calls and text message put across to him, was not answered or replied as, at the time of filing this report.
Also, the abductors of Tony Udemezue are yet to contact his family who has since been anxious of his whereabouts and safety.
