Gunmen Attack Adamawa Community On Christmas Day, Kill 2

The Adamawa State Police Command has confirmed an attack by gunmen on Kwapre community in Hong Local Government Area (LGA) on Monday, December 25, Christmas Day.

Spokesperson SP Suleiman Nguroje disclosed the incident to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Yola on Tuesday. He stated that investigations into the attack are already underway.

 

According to Nguroje, Commissioner of Police Babatola Afolabi has deployed officers to the scene and instructed a thorough investigation.

 

He encouraged the public to report any suspicious activity to the police or other security agencies to enhance security in the state and nation.

The District Head of Dugwaba, Mr. Simon Buba, also confirmed to newsmen that two people were killed during the attack.

 

He added that the attackers, suspected to be members of Boko Haram, arrived on motorcycles, stole food items, and then fled towards the Sambisa Forest.
