Suspected gunmen yesterday attacked Sunshine Stars Football Club on their way to Benin.
LEADERSHIP learnt that the team was traveling to honor match day 13 of the Nigeria Premier Football League with Bendel Insurance of Benin.
It was also gathered that the club was attacked along the Benin-Ore way and the ball boy to the team was shot.
It was gathered that the Team Manager and some team management were injured and had been taken to a nearby hospital.
At the time of this report, it’s uncertain whether players were among the injured.
