Gunmen Kidnap NTA Staff In Benue

Benue State Police command has confirmed the kidnapping of the chief accountant of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Thomas Tikyaa, by suspected gunmen.

The police public relations officer, Catherine Anene who disclosed this during a telephone conversation with our correspondent said investigation is ongoing to unravel those behind the ugly incident and rescue the victim.

The zonal director of NTA Makurdi Network Centre, Pam Dung Nyam in a statement to the security operatives said “I wish to formally report the kidnap of the above mention Staff of NTA who was recently redeployed from NTA Network Centre, Makurdi to NTA Onitsha, Abia State”

According to him, the incident occurred around 10:00pm yesterday 17th September, 2023, between Ogbokolo and Otukpa on his way to Makurdi to visit his family while on board Benue Links bus.

“In the light of the above, we will like to solicit your kind assistance for his rescue and safely return to his family. I shall be very grateful for your prompt intervention in this regard.”
