Gwaram Community Applauds Emir Over New District Heads In Alkaleri

The people of Gwaram community in Alkaleri local government area of Bauchi State have lauded the Emir of Bauchi, Dr. Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu, for appointing Alhaji Bala Mohammed Gidado (rtd comptroller of customs) as the 9th Sarkin Alkaleri, and Ambassador Yakubu Santuraki Sulaiman Adamu as the new district head of Pali.

In a statement signed by the Dallatun Gwaram, Barr. Muslim Maigari, the community described the appointments as a wise and strategic decision demonstrating the emir’s commitment to visionary and capable traditional leadership at a crucial time in the nation’s history.

The statement highlighted the wealth of experience, professional accomplishments, and leadership qualities of the appointees, expressing confidence in their ability to tackle security challenges, foster socio-economic growth, and enhance the welfare of their people.

“We are grateful to our revered Emir for his foresight in giving our communities leaders whose experience and wisdom will unite our people, promote peace, and drive progress. This is a vital step towards strengthening traditional institutions as partners in development,” the statement read.

The Gwaram community prayed for divine guidance and wisdom for the new leaders and called on residents of Alkaleri and Pali to cooperate fully with them and support them in achieving lasting positive change.

“Leadership thrives on the backing of the people. We urge all sons and daughters of our communities to rally behind our District Heads, respect their authority, and work together for the peace and prosperity of our land,” the statement concluded.

LEADERSHIP reports that the emir of Bauchi Dr. Rilwanu on Wednesday turbaned retired Customs Controller, Bala Mohammed Gidado, as the 9th Sarkin Alkaleri, succeeding the late Sarkin Alkaleri, Alhaji Muhammad Abdulkadir.

The ceremony, held at the Bauchi Emir’s Palace, drew top government officials, politicians, traditional title holders, and other key stakeholders.

Following the turbaning, a special traditional Durbar took place in Alkaleri town to formally welcome the new monarch. The colourful event marked the official ascension of Rtd. Controller Bala Mohammed Gidado to the throne.
