The Founder and President MAAUN Group of Universities, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Hadiza Usman Ma’aji on her elevation to the rank of Professor by the Senate of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria.

Hadiza Usman Ma’aji was promoted to the rank of professor of Clinical Pharmacy by the university recently, making her the first to achieve such feat in the North.

The congratulatory message was conveyed to Prof. Hadiza in a statement personally signed by Prof. Adamu Gwarzo and released to journalists on Monday.

Prof. Gwarzo also used the occasion to felicitates Prof. Hadiza Usman Ma’aji for being the first female professor of Clinical Pharmacy in the Northern part of Nigeria

“As Northern Nigeria’s first female Professor of Clinical Pharmacy, Hadiza Usman Ma’aji deserves to be celebrated for attaining the milestone.

“On behalf of the Management of MAAUN Group of Universities, I wish to congratulate you on your promotion by the ABU Senate,” he stated.

According to Prof. Gwarzo, Hadiza wouldn’t have attained the feat if not because of her commitment and zeal to excel in her academic pursuit.

“This is a female from the Northern part of Nigeria who crossed the borders for her academic pursuit as she had her Msc. and PhD at the university of Ibadan and the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, respectively,” he stated.
