Guinness World Record Holder for the World’s Largest Painting, Dr Fola David, has attributed his success to his sponsor, a Singaporean Business Conglomerate, Tollaram , with a branch office in Lagos.

The medical doctor , who disclosed this at a media presentation held in his honour by the company, said the journey to breaking and setting a new record for the world’s largest painting started nine years ago.

He also commended the organisation which he said has supported his social causes to help the less privileged over the years via his foundation.

“We all heard about the six days that led to the creation of the largest painting in the world by an individual, but what most people don’t know is that we have been on this for years, and Tolaram has been supportive all through these years. He stated “

He said while it has been an arduous task, his intention for taking it on is to express himself both as a doctor and an artist, as well as encourage people that they can do whatsoever they set their mind to.

“I want to inspire people to push their limit; to make sure that you don’t put yourself inside a particular box, and think this is where I have to stay, rather say, “I can go further than this. I can do this or that.”

“For us, we believe that there is still more to be given in terms of creativity, in terms of unity in diversity, and how important it is for us as a nation to come together to actually realize our dreams. All you just have to do is to conceive the idea, believe in yourself and it will be done.”
