Idris said the appointment was in furtherance of his administration’s quest for a hitch free exercise both in Kebbi and Saudi Arabia.

The governor made the announcement through the secretary to the state government in a statement he issued to journalists yesterday in Birnin Kebbi.

According to the statement, Governor Idris also nominated 21 other personalities from government, state assembly, security and other organisations as members of the state’s Hajj Committee.

The governor, however, charged the Committee members to discharge their assignment diligently for the successful conduct of the hajj exercise.
