The commencement of the payment followed the approval for the release of N184m by the state governor, AbdulRahaman AbdulRazaq.

The beneciaries of the refunds were the pilgrims that paid the sum of N3m as hajj fare for the just-concluded pilgrimage exercise to Saudi Arabia.

The beneficiaries cut across the 16 local government areas of the state and even non-Kwarans.

The executive secretary of the State Pilgrims Board, Alh. AbdulSalam Abdulkadir, thanked the state government for the timely release of the fund, which was the excess money paid by the affected pilgrims.
