Odunola stated this when members of the organisation paid a courtesy visit to him and presented the organisation’s Module App.

The VC, however, said the university was mindful of all the issues bordering on gender violence as the University has a zero tolerance to gender-based violence as well as being very gender sensitive at all times.

He said, “Hallmark University was mindful of all the issues bordering on gender violence as the University has a zero tolerance to these issues and is equally gender sensitive at all times. Gender-based issues are not limited to only the female members of any society as the case may be because male children who are also victims of these violence acts most times do not speak out because of likely stigmatisation that may arise.”

He, however, stated that harassment could come in different and diverse forms, stating that the university would partner with the group after studying their Memorandum of Understanding.

“The university deals with matters bordering on gender-based violence in line with laid down rules and regulations derived from the extant laws of the University as appropriate.

“The university will partner with your organization in these areas after a careful study of its Memorandum of Understanding (MoU),” he stated.

Earlier, the team lead of the NGO, Barr. Omowunmi Ogunrotimi, stated that the objectives and mission of the organization is to solve, mitigate and checkmate gender-based violence in the Country and Tertiary Institutions.

She said, “Our organisation was a gender base outfit centred on all forms of gender-based issues. The objectives and mission of the organization is to solve, mitigate and or checkmate gender-based violence in the country and Tertiary Institutions are not left out of this drive through a well-structured reporting system.”
