A non-governmental advocacy group for indigent children and sports, the Richard Agbonifo Hand2Hand Sports Foundation, says its 2024 Annual General Meeting which holds on Saturday, April 13, 2024 in Abuja, is planned to help foster the ideal partnership and buy-in of corporate Nigeria, well-to-do individuals in the private sector and the relevant governmental agencies, with a view to give the twin related issue of improved welfare for all children, but especially those from less privileged homes.

Media Officer of the group, Chinedum Ohanusi says the AGM which holds at the Abuja Office of the foundation, in Maitama, Abuja; have officers from the Universal Basic Education Board (UBEC), and those from the Nigeria School Sports Federation (NSSF) in attendance, as they seek collaborative efforts to give their desire of bettering the lives of thousands of kids, using the instrumentality of sports as a veritable platform.

According to the spokesperson, the Sports Component of this year’s programme is laced with a Cadet Handball Tournament for Under 12 and 15 Boys and Girls, to be staged on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at the Old Parade Ground, in Area 10, Garki, Abuja, starting from 10 am.

The group which added that it is seeking massive coverage and reportage of its activities, will on the sidelines of the Handball Tournament gift bags, books, and sports shoes to the children, already benefiting from their scholarship programme.
