Hansi Flick has extended his contract with FC Barcelona until 2028 after guiding the Catalan club to consecutive La Liga titles.
The German coach, whose previous deal was due to expire in 2027, agreed a one-year extension with an option for an additional season until 2029.
Flick has transformed Barcelona since replacing Xavi Hernández in 2024, winning five of the six domestic trophies available.
The 61-year-old led Barcelona to a domestic treble in his first season, securing La Liga, the Copa del Rey and the Spanish Super Cup.
Although Barcelona failed to reach the Champions League final, Flick insisted the club remained determined to conquer Europe once again.
“We will work harder to reach the best level and win titles,” Flick said.
Before joining Barcelona, Flick enjoyed successful spells with Bayern Munich and the German national team, and also served as an assistant coach during Germany’s 2014 World Cup triumph.
