The House made the call in support of a motion moved by Hon. Segun Ege representing Ojo Constituency 1 under “matters of urgent public interest”.

Adopting the motion, the speaker, Hon. Mudashiru Obasa identified efforts of the state governor Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu and other agencies of government in distribution of palliative including N50,000 to each trader in some parts of Lagos but that more still needs to be done at all levels of government.

He enjoined the House Committees on Agriculture and Transportation to summon the Commissioner for Agriculture Ms. Ruth Abisola Olusanya and her Transportation counterpart Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi to brief the committee’s on efforts being made to enhance Agriculture and ameliorate problem of transportation in the interim.

While calling on the government to make sports attractive through investment in sports infrastructure that will help remove youths from the streets, the speaker implored the government to engage manufacturers and traders with a view to reduce inflation.
