Housing Development Advocacy Network (HDAN) has raised an alarm over the illegal deduction of 40 per cent of national housing contributions domiciled in the remittance account of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
Executive director of HDAN, Festus Adebayo, in a statement issued in Abuja called whoever is responsible for that deduction to please return it between now and end of December, 2022.
According to him, government who is expected to provide subsidy for civil servant should not descend so low to be deducting deposit of workers.
He went further to say that if the deductions are not returned, HDAN will take FG and others who are involved to court latest the second week of January.
