Liverpool will hope to seal their Europa League progress when they entertain LASK tonight.

Jurgen Klopp’s Reds will also be eager to banish memories of their shock, controversial 3-2 loss in Toulouse earlier this month as they hope to wrap up top spot in Group E with a match to spare.

That will be the case if they beat LASK again and nearest rivals Toulouse fail to see off Belgian side Union SG at home in other Group E match also this Thursday night. While a point will be enough for Liverpool to seal a top-two finish, they could lose and still progress if Toulouse are held to a draw.

Meanwhile, LASK are at the bottom of Group E, having picked up just three points from four matches so far. Their only win in the group stage came in their latest Europa League outing against Union SG.Their hopes of making it to the knockout stages are not entirely quashed just yet. But it’ll hinge on them earning an unlikely win over Liverpool this Thursday.
