Healing is the process of making or becoming sound or healthy again. After a prolonged illness, it feels like a long road back to normalcy. For some nothing goes back to how it was, embracing change and new has to be a survival skill to be studied.

Healing involves what you feed your mind, the journey to healing starts with the step of what you feed your body and what you feed your soul. According to the good book, it says “As a man thinketh, so is he”. If you think healing possible, then you have it. Come on now, we all have adaptability skills to scale through all the hurdles in our lives but we must first think of it as a possibility.

On these note, I give you the cheat codes to healing from within: mind, body and soul. Just because healing is a process, connecting your mind, body and soul on this journey is also a process. When you are given medications, it takes care of your insides, and then results show outside. If you did not believe it will, many times it never will.

“The Placebo effect” according to better health channel, the placebo effect is triggered by our beliefs on the treatment plan given to us. I have heard of cases where a Doctor prescribes a placebo pill (a sugar pill) instead of the active treatment, which resulted to an instant improvement, with the patient believing that those are real drugs, this tells us that our belief has an active role in changing our healing journey for good.

Healing encompasses nourishing your mind, body, and soul. It commences with what you feed your mind, as thoughts shape our reality. As the saying goes, “As a man thinketh, so is he.” Believing in the possibility of healing is the first step towards achieving it. We all possess the resilience to navigate life’s challenges, but it begins with acknowledging the potential for healing.

In addition to positive thinking, here are some other ways to facilitate healing across mind, body, and soul:

Surround yourself with love: Family and friends can play a great role of support and encouragement. These are people who know us prior to and after our health situation. They play vital role in reminding us that there is power in love.

Change mind-set: Having a mind-set and level of understanding that change is constant will help you to metamorphose from one stage of life to another. In this case, knowing your health condition and the very many adverse reactions of drugs will get you ready for any physical changes that might occur and ways with which you can live better with all the changes that comes with healing completely.

Nutrition Changes: Prioritize nutrition by consuming whole, nutrient-rich foods that fuel your body and support its natural healing processes. God has blessed us with natural ingredients that can improve our health no matter what ailment we have.

Regular Exercise: Incorporate regular exercise into your routine to strengthen your body and improve overall well-being. Exercising builds strength, gives you confidence, improves general wellness, improves sleep and keeps the heart going.

Rest and Sleep: There are people I can easily mention on this list who do not know how to rest and sleep. Most times when the body is overworked, all it needs is a good night’s rest and a daily power nap. Just listen to your body.

Mental Meditations: Practice mindfulness and meditation to cultivate inner peace and reduce stress. Engage in activities that bring you joy and relaxation, such as hobbies, spending time in nature, or connecting with loved ones. Seek professional support if needed, through therapy or counseling, to address any mental health concerns and develop coping strategies.

Spiritual/Emotional health: We have a Maker; it is only wise to connect with him. Manual guides can be gotten through prayer, pray but do not stop there. Connect with your inner self through practices like journaling, reflection, or prayer. Foster meaningful relationships and surround yourself with a supportive community. Engage in acts of kindness and compassion towards yourself and others. Grow spiritual practices that resonate with you and provide a sense of purpose and connection.

Remember, healing is a holistic process that involves nurturing every aspect of your being—mind, body, and soul. By incorporating these practices into your life, you can embark on a journey of profound healing and transformation.
