BOILED PLANTAIN

Boiled plantain is a dish of ripe or unripe plantains that are peeled and boiled in water until soft. They can be eaten plain or with salt, pepper, or butter. Boiled plantain is a nutritious and tasty breakfast.

OKPA

Okpa is the local name for Bambara nuts. It is also the name of the boiled pudding made with the Bambara nut powder. Okpa is very filling and can keep hunger away until lunch. It is excellent for diabetics.

BREAD SANDWICH WITH HOT BEVERAGE

This is one of the simplest and most satisfying Nigerian breakfasts. All you need is some bread, some fillings, and a hot drink of your choice. You can toast the bread or eat it as it is.

INSTANT NOODLES AND EGG

This is another ubiquitous breakfast dish. In fact, it can be served as breakfast, lunch or dinner in most Nigerian homes. It’s a better combination when taken with vegetables and egg.

NUTS

Healthy nuts such as almonds and njugu karanga are rich in proteins, fiber and healthy fats. They are a healthy choice for breakfast that will also help with weight loss.

YAM AND EGG SAUCE

This breakfast dish is a delicious combination of boiled yams and a spicy egg sauce. It’s a substantial and satisfying breakfast that will keep you fueled for the morning.
