Heirs Energies Promotes Entrepreneurship Skills, Fosters Mentorship For Young Talents

Indigenous oil and gas exploration company, Heirs Energies, is spreading capacity building in the oil and gas industry to strengthen effective leadership management to improve system reliability and create vast opportunities for upcoming leaders.

The firm reaffirmed its commitment to powering Africa by investing in people, unlocking potential, and creating opportunities that enable individuals and communities to thrive.

The company participated at the Africa Everywhere Festival, a platform convened by Oge Elumelu to connect Africa’s brightest young minds with organisations, business leaders and opportunities that will shape the continent’s future.

The festival was a celebration of Africa’s greatest asset its people. By creating a platform where young professionals, entrepreneurs and students could engage directly with industry leaders and leading organisations, the Africa Everywhere Festival continues to inspire the next generation to dream bigger, lead boldly and build Africa’s future.

Throughout the festival, its interactive exhibition booth provided an opportunity for hundreds of young professionals to engage with our team, learn more about careers in the energy industry, participate in engaging activities and experience the culture and values that define Heirs Energies.

The firm was delighted to contribute to the programme through the panel session featuring our Executive Director & Chief Financial Officer, Sam Nwanze, whose reflections on leadership, resilience, career development and creating impact resonated strongly with the audience.

His session reinforced our belief that developing Africa’s future requires not only investing in infrastructure and industry, but also in people.

It also extended warmest congratulations to the outstanding young professionals selected to join Heirs Energies as interns and expressed the desire to engage them to the Heirs family and supporting them as they begin their professional journey.

Through our education, entrepreneurship and youth development initiatives, the firm has awarded over 1,621 scholarships to deserving students, empowered over 500 young people through skills acquisition and capacity-building programmes, and, in partnership with the Tony Elumelu Foundation, supported 2,000 young African entrepreneurs with catalytic business grants – helping transform innovative ideas into sustainable businesses across the continent.

It expressed the belief that when young Africans are equipped with the right opportunities, they become the innovators, entrepreneurs and leaders who will drive Africa’s continued growth and prosperity.
