Kebbi State Hisbah Command has arrested 11 persons for allegedly having illicit affairs at an unregistered hotel in Badariya area of Birnin Kebbi metropolis.
The commandant in the state, Malam Suleiman Muhammed, revealed this on Saturday in Birnin Kebbi
According to him, those arrested were eight women and three men.
He said that they were arrested at midnight on Friday during the conduct of patrol by the command’s officials in the state capital.
“These people were arrested after they were found guilty of committing illicit intimate affairs in the hotel in the midnight,” Mohammed said.
He confirmed that those arrested are not indigenes of Kebbi State but were from other states in both northern and southern part of the country.
He also noted that the command would soon charge them to the court after the conclusion of investigation.
He warned people in Kebbi State against indulging in illicit affairs with women who are not their legitimate partners.
