Africa’s rocket-fueled payment platform, HitchPay, stormed the NYSC Orientation Camp in Iseyin, Oyo State, for the Batch C 2025, launching a powerhouse initiative to supercharge financial inclusion and digital savvy among Nigeria’s brightest young minds.
In a three-pronged blitz – brand activation, digital career fair, and sponsorship of epic camp carnivals – HitchPay empowered thousands of corps members with tools for effortless local and global transactions during their three-week orientation.
HitchPay’s team dove straight into hands-on sessions, demoing the full magic: instant app activation, frictionless transfers, real-time validation, and receipt confirmations.
“We’re bridging the gap for corps members heading to underserved communities without banks,” said Ms Eunice Bankole, HitchPay’s Chief Operating Officer.
“Our user-friendly platform makes payments seamless, fun, and affordable – no stress, just vibes. It is our way of fueling patriotic youth with uninterrupted access to funds for daily hustles.”
HitchPay did not stop at payments – it unveiled a Digital Career Fair, opening doors to internships in software engineering, product design, management, customer success, and marketing. “This aligns with our vision to catapult young talent from campus to cutting-edge tech careers,” Bankole added. The Oyo rollout marks the beginning of a nationwide expansion, with additional NYSC camps on the way.
HitchPay sealed the excitement by sponsoring two blockbuster events: Miss Big, Bold & Beautiful which held on December 3, 2025, and Culture and Carnival Day, held on December 6, 2026. At the Miss Big, Bold & Beautiful event, corps members buzzed through live demonstrations of cross-border payments, USD virtual cards, instant currency swaps, and subscription tools. Raffles, branded swag, and instant app sign-ups lit up the vibe – many raved about the simplicity and security.
Ms. Babarinde Ifela clinched the grand prize of N25, 000, crowned by the
Camp Director. First runner-up, Ms. Aderiuto Mistura, and second runner-up, Ms.
Olaosebikan Bolanle, received consolation prizes. Carnival Day ramped up the fun with cultural showcases, Q&A sessions on overseas payments and dollar savings, and gifts galore, promoting unity among future nation-builders.
The NYSC officials who graced these events included the Camp Director, Mrs Afolabi, the Commandant, Resident Officer, Dr Ikusemoro Olubunmi Taiye, and the Head of Social Committee.
Others are representatives from the Nigeria Police Force, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps
(NSCDC), Community Development Service (CDS), and Skills Acquisition and
Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) department of NYSC.
“This partnership harnesses youth energy for national cohesion,” beamed HitchPay Marketing Director Ms. Prisca Onyemaeme. “We’re committed to hassle-free, global payments – starting with NYSC to build Nigeria’s digital future.”
Corps members glowed: “HitchPay opened my eyes to digital gold -and tech jobs!”
