In a recent press release, the office of the HoS said the promotion process, an annual event for civil servants, had been initially scheduled for earlier in the year. However, due to logistical adjustments, the accreditation process has been rescheduled from Monday, 2nd December, to Thursday, 5th December 2024.

The press release, referencing Circular Ref. No. HCSF/CMO/EM/AOD/073/1/16 further outlined that the accreditation will be conducted across six designated centres nationwide, ensuring broader accessibility for candidates. These centres are strategically placed to cater to many civil servants spread across the country.

The promotion examination is set for Saturday, 7th December 2024, when officers on Salary Grade Levels 06-13 will undergo the rigorous process that could pave the way for their career advancement.
Mrs Walson-Jack stressed the importance of this examination for civil servants’ professional growth and reiterated that all eligible candidates must attend the accreditation process within the specified dates.

The adjustment in the timetable allows for better coordination and smoother execution of the promotion process, a crucial aspect of enhancing efficiency and productivity within the Nigerian civil service.
