Hon. Kalu Bags Outstanding Rep Member Of The Year At Democracy Heroes Award Africa

Member representing Bende federal constituency of Abia State, Rep. Benjamin Kalu has been honoured with the award of Outstanding Rep member of the Year 2022 at the just concluded Democracy Heroes Award Africa in Abuja.

He came ahead of came ahead of other nominees from six geoolilital zones of the country in the same category in an online voting exercise.

Benjamin Kalu who is also the Spokesperson of the House of Representatives was voted for his legislative input in the House of Representatives, his coordination and information management of all standing and adhoc committees of the House as well as his massive infrastructural development in Bende Federal Constituency.

He is also popular for attracting investments in education, human capital development as well as empowerment schemes for youths and women in his constituency.

Voters deployed yardsticks such as good governance, security, infrastructure, women empowerment and other indices of good democratic governance to arrive at their choice.

The Heroes of Democracy award which took place at Transcorp Hilton Hotel Abuja had as the theme, Sustaining Democracy Through Peaceful Electioneering.

Other eminent Nigerian leaders from the political, business and traditional spaces were also honoured.

All awardees recorded a wide acceptance in their states as trail blazers, bridge builder, with track record of excellence and clear vision in leadership.

Heroes of Democracy award is packaged by Face of Democracy Nigeria, FDN projects, Organisers of Face of Democracy Nigeria, which has as the Project Director, Olufunsho Ajagbonna aka Fajag.

According to the director, Hon. Benjamin Kalu deserves to be honoured again and again for his outstanding performances as a member house of representatives.
