Former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Chidi Nwogu, has extended his congratulations to Senator Patrick Ndubueze, known as ‘Ndi-Okigwe’, and the Imo State government following the recent signing into law of the bill establishing the Federal University of Okigwe by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In his statement, Hon. Nwogu, who is currently a council member at the African Aviation and Aerospace University in Abuja, acknowledged the collaborative efforts surrounding this significant achievement, particularly praising the unwavering support from key figures, including Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma, the deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, and the chief of staff to the president, Femi Gbajabiamila.
He expressed appreciation for Senator Ndubueze’s steadfast dedication and determination in advocating for the needs of the Okigwe senatorial district, recognising the senator’s commitment to the area throughout the legislative process.
The newly established Federal University of Okigwe aims to offer quality education and research opportunities, thereby addressing the educational needs of the South East region of Nigeria.
