Residents said a week before the attack on the palace a driver of a former governor of the state, late Dr Chinwoke Mbadinuju, was kidnapped by gunmen after the funeral of his brother in the Isseke community.
Igwe Nnabuife told LEADERSHIP Weekend yesterday that when the hoodlums stormed his palace, he and all members of his family were away.

Mbadinuju’s former driver was kidnapped because he refused to settle the gunmen before burying his brother and shortly after the funeral, the gunmen stormed his home firing gun shots into the air and whisked him to an unknown destination.
