Hoodlums Kill Man In Attempt To Snatch Wife

Twenty-five-year-old Ibrahim Ahmadu, a resident of Bazai community in Shira local government area of Bauchi State has been killed by hoodlums while trying  to stop his wife, Amina, from being  snatched by the hoodlums.

Awalu Idi, 20 and Habibu Buba, 20 met the man and his wife on the road while returning from a Maulud procession and demanded he surrenders the wife to them, a request he did not oblige.

Spokesman of state police command, SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, said they then hit him with sticks on the forehead as a result, he sustained internal injuries.

He was taken to the General Hospital in Yana where he was certified dead by a medical doctor.

“During interrogation, the defendants freely confessed having committed the crime. Investigation is still ongoing, after which the suspects will be charged to court,” he said.
