Hope Ambassadors Honour CDS, Youth Minister, Dokpesi, Others Over Governance, Humanitarianism

The Hope Ambassadors for Peace in Africa Initiative has recognised individuals who have made notable contributions to governance, humanitarian efforts, and service delivery in Nigeria.

The event, held in Abuja, featured the 2024 Heroes of Good Governance, Humanitarian, and Service Awards, celebrating leaders whose impactful work has inspired positive change across Nigeria.

Among the distinguished awardees were General Christopher Gwabin Musa, Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff; Hon. (Engr.) Victor Obuzor Chukwuemuele Amadi; Hon. (Engr.) Ayodele Olawande Wisdom, Minister of Youth Development; Mr. Salihu Abdullhamid Dembos, Director General of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA); Mr. Ajayi Joshua Oluwatobi, CEO of NORD Automobiles, and Dr. Shamsudeen Aliyu of Sahad Hospital.

The late High Chief Raymond Anthony Aleogho Dokpesi, founder of DAAR Communications, was also honoured posthumously for his exceptional contributions to media and communication.

During the ceremony, the Executive Director of the organization, Amb. Frank Chinedu, highlighted the significance of recognising individuals who exemplify excellence in leadership and service.

“We are proud to honour these remarkable leaders whose contributions to governance, humanitarian efforts, and service delivery have sparked meaningful change in our society.

“Their work continues to inspire hope, and it is only fitting that we recognize their efforts today. This event is not just a celebration but a call for all leaders to remain committed to driving positive change for a better, more harmonious Africa and Nigeria. We look forward to making this an annual event to encourage the continued advancement of our nations,” Amb. Chinedu said.

He also announced that the awards would become an annual event to inspire more leaders to drive positive change.

Headquartered in Abuja, the Hope Ambassadors for Peace in Africa Initiative is a non-governmental organisation dedicated to fostering peace, hope, and humanity across Africa through collaboration with stakeholders to promote harmonious communities.

The organisation expressed gratitude to all awardees, guests, the media, and the public for their support in making the event a success.

Amb. Chinedu concluded with a call for continued efforts toward peace and development in Africa and Nigeria.
