The chairman of the Bauchi State Civil Service Commission (CSC), Dr. Ibrahim Alhaji Muhammad, has assured that casual workers currently engaged across various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) in the state will be given priority in the upcoming recruitment exercise for 10,000 civil service positions.

According to him, Governor Bala Mohammed has already granted approval for the employment of 10,000 qualified indigenes from all 20 local government areas of the state.

Speaking to journalists in his office yesterday, Dr. Muhammad explained that the recruitment process will be carried out by the CSC in collaboration with the office of the Head of Civil Service to ensure fairness and give due consideration to casual workers who have been diligently serving the state.

He expressed gratitude to the governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, for the confidence reposed in him through his recent appointment, pledging to deliver on the mandate with integrity and dedication.

Dr. Muhammad emphasised that the civil service, as the backbone of government operations, will continue to uphold the rights of workers in areas such as promotion, upgrading, equitable opportunities, and other entitlements.

He reaffirmed his commitment to aligning with the governor’s development vision as outlined in the “My Bauchi Project,” promising reforms that will strengthen and modernise the state civil service.

He said, “With the Governor’s recent return from the Lesser Hajj in Saudi Arabia, preparations are underway for the official launch of the employment application portal, after which eligible candidates will be able to submit their applications.”

Dr. Muhammad called on all MDAs to fully cooperate and ensure transparency, fairness, and equity throughout the recruitment process to guarantee its success.

He also appealed to the large number of unemployed youths in the state to remain patient and continue supporting the current administration’s efforts to create more job opportunities and improve livelihoods.
