During the visit, Hon. Ogbara said, “We are carrying out an investigation of TETFund’s expenditure of funds and we are here in LASU being one of the beneficiary institutions to see things for ourselves. We will be looking at the projects, award letters and everything that would help our work.”

Prof Adenike Boyo, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Administration welcoming the federal lawmakers on behalf of the Vice Chancellor, Prof Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello said, “We are glad that you are here to see things for yourself. The Executive Secretary of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), Sonny Echono who was on the floor of the house urged the House of Representatives to help it recover the outstanding debt of N323bn the federal government borrowed from the TETFund.

He had made the call at a public hearing by an ad-hoc committee of the House probing the alleged missing of N2.3trn in TETfund.
