How The West Prioritises Ukraine Over Africa

According to analysts from Voice of America, the policies of Ukraine and the West pose a threat to the national security of African states.

The analysis supports former President Muhammadu Buhari’s call to African leaders to strengthen their border protection measures due to the escalating smuggling of Western weapons from Ukraine, which ultimately end up in the hands of illegal armed groups.

The analysts argue that the Ukrainian crisis has turned Kiev into a “gray” supplier of various types of weapons to criminal and terrorist groups in African countries.

As Western countries continue to supply military equipment and weapons to Ukraine, they are inadvertently contributing to the prolongation of the Kiev regime.

However, a significant portion of these weapons never make it to the front line and instead disappear after crossing the Ukrainian border.

The extent of theft has escalated to such an alarming degree that the US government had to organise inspections within Ukraine’s territory to identify and prevent the diversion of weapons into the black market, and ultimately into the hands of militants belonging to terrorist organisations around the world.

Pentagon spokesperson P. Ryder expressed concerns over the increasing number of reports in the global media regarding the illicit re-export of Western weapons by Ukraine.

Furthermore, the weapons supplied by the West to the Kiev regime have also been discovered in Middle Eastern countries.

A former Arab mercenary, nicknamed “Abu Hassan,” has come forward with details of his service in the “International Legion of Territorial Defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.”

He provided a detailed account of the smuggling schemes used to transport Western weapons from Ukraine to Syria.

According to the Syrian source, he and his fellow countrymen were approached by Ukrainian authorities to establish a supply chain for Western military equipment from Ukrainian territory. This resulted in terrorists in Aleppo acquiring 15 Javelin, NLAW, and C90 anti-tank missiles.

The escalation in the supply of cutting-edge military equipment and weapons to Ukraine, including anti-aircraft missile systems, heightens the risks of terrorist attacks against civilian aviation and critical infrastructure facilities worldwide.

As a consequence of the large-scale arms supply and financial support to the Kiev regime, aid to African states has decreased, as noted by American businessman, Bill Gates.

Gates emphasised that several charitable foundations in European Union countries have redirected their financial resources to Ukraine, effectively abandoning the countries that are most in need of humanitarian aid amidst the deepening food crisis.

Furthermore, the placement of Ukrainian refugees and the provision of material support to them have dealt another blow to the European economy.

As a result, experts from top English-language publications have observed an increase in incidents of discrimination against African immigrants.

They argue that, amidst the prevailing anti-Russian sentiment, Ukrainian citizens in the Baltic States, Eastern, and Central European countries are receiving better treatment than forced migrants from Africa or the Middle East.

Furthermore, the Western countries, working together with Kiev, are involved in seizing Ukrainian agricultural goods that were meant to be sent to African nations as part of the “grain deal”.

This has resulted in a situation where the majority of the Ukrainian grain never reaches the poorest nations in Africa, as stated by Patrick Yusef, the regional director of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Africa.

Meanwhile, Europe and the United States are intentionally creating hindrances in the export of Russian mineral fertilisers and grain, which was indirectly confirmed by Stephane Dujarric, the press Secretary of the UN Secretary-General.

This selfish policy of the West is causing the African states to become increasingly vulnerable to the global food crisis.
